Inside Sales

General
Laborers
Planting
trees and shrubs into pots or in the field. Digging balled and burlapped
trees which includes pinning balls, crimping wire and tying tops of the
trees. Fertilizing and cleaning up the container yard and uncovering and
tipping upright all potted plants.
Tagging plants and weeding pots.
Digging trees and shrubs bare-root. Loading and unloading trucks. Other duties as assigned not just limited
to those listed above.
Equipment
Operators – John Deere Skid Steers and John Deere Tractors
Digging, pallet loading and unloading, truck loading and unloading, potting
mix loading. Split shift work may be required.
START
DATES: As the work load increases
throughout the spring.
DURATION: Year round for our best
workers, retaining 18-22 each winter.
LOCATION
OF WORK: Here at
the Nursery- 4343 MT HWY 35
PAY: $10.00 per hour DOE. Weekend help $8.00 per hour. Time and one half for hours over 40 per week.
BENEFITS: After 6 months we offer a
group medical insurance plan that covers 75% of the premium expense. After
one year we offer one weeks paid vacation and six paid holidays.
Participation in 401k plan with dollar for dollar match on first 5% and $.50
on the dollar on the next 5%. So if you contribute 10%, GNI with contributes
7.5% for a total of 17.5% towards your 401K plan.
HOURS: Currently Monday through
Friday 7:30 - 4:00. During the peak season (mid March to mid May and again
mid October to mid November) Monday through Saturday 7:00 - 5:00 we may work
up to ten hours per day up to six days per week. With some split shift work 5:00
am - 1:30 pm and 1:30 pm – 10:00 pm for equipment operators.
CAPABILITIES:
Must be able to
bend over repeatedly
Lift 50# repeatedly
Carry 80# up to 100 feet
Accustomed to working outdoors
TERMS
& CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Three things are expected of all employees - show up for work when scheduled,
show up for work on time, and put in your best effort all day,
everyday.
This is a non smoking work environment.
We work in a structured atmosphere where we work safely and efficiently.
Outdoor work requiring clothing that will keep you both warm and dry.
We take a 20 minute break in the morning and a 30 minute lunch in the
afternoon.
We are paid twice per month.
